I found myself sitting in the seats at the Garden, without any anticipation. I had just filled up on cheese breadsticks from Pizza Hut, and a caramel frappucino from Starbucks. I really wasn't thinking about the fact that I had been waiting almost 6 years to see this band play live. It was only until the lights when out that I found myself screaming along with the rest of Madison Square Garden.

Seriously, they played about 30 songs. For a band whose members are mostly in their upper 30's (maybe 40's?) They have more energy then half the kids at Warped Tour combined. I never realized how little Billie Joe was, he was smaller than some of the kids that he pulled from the crowd, up onto the stage.
There was a pit at this show, and I really, really, wish I was apart of it.

During Jesus of Suburbia, he began to ask the crowd, "who can play Jesus of Suburbia on guitar? Who can do it? I need someone whose fucking serious because you don't want to fuck this up." He was convinced by a girl in the pit, and pulled her up and out, onto the stage. "Dont fuck this up kid, you're in front of thousands of people that have no idea who you are." Billie Joe handed the girl his guitar, and she sat down with it. I remember she had long shorts on (looked like boy shorts) and a red beanie. "You ready?" This girl is holding BILLIE JOE'S FUCKING GUITAR IN HER HAND and she strummed the first chords of the song, all the way until the end. It was cute seeing her confidence spark, throughout the song she stood up and really rocked out. I was so happy for her, and it was really fucking cool to watch.

Know Your Enemy was the second opening song. They began the song, and then he screamed into the microphone, "I NEED ABOUT 100 MORE FUCKING PEOPLE DOWN ON THE FLOOR RIGHT NOW. RIGHT NOW." Of course me and Johnny booked it from our seats, we went two sections down and ended up not going on to the floor, but getting better seats. The security guards were flipping a shit at this whole idea, they most likely hated Greenday from that point on.

They took a request from the pit to play When I Come Around, the Garden exploded because apparently they don't really play that song live.

Longview was amusing, not just because of the meaning of the song, but what Billie Joe did. He pulled three people from the audience to sing it, the first one looked like a girl who was about 13 years old. She sang the first verse and trotted up and down the stage singing about masturbation. Hilarious. The second person was a guy in a construction hat that literally growled/screamed the whole verse. Billie Joe told him to get the fuck off the stage, the guy stage dived, missed the people who were supposed to catch him, and had a hard landing. A third person was another guy who sang it nicely, "You're going on the Long Island Expressway, buddy" Billie Joe said. The kid successful stage dived, "unlike that other fucker who is probably dead."

Oh, and during East Jesus Nowhere he "crucified" a little child named Elijah that he grabbed from the crowd. I don't even think I can get into that on the internet.

I've been to alot of shows. This was probably one of the best that I have ever seen.

I loved Warped this year! Aside from all the new crazy bubble gum pop punk fans who drool over the boys with hair longer than mine (All Time Low, Attack Attack), and over-the-top "new age" "rock" techno autotune lovers (Millionares, Brokencyde) I had an AMAZING time watching some of my favorite bands play. Not to mention there was not a fee for parking, and nothing was too over-priced.

I also saw Saosin (very satisfying), There for Tomorrow, Jeffree Star (for about 3 minutes.), Scary Kids Scaring Kids, and Chiodos.
When we were leaving I stopped by the VersaEmerge tent to mention that they had a great set. I got there and Sierra gave me a big hug saying "You were awesome today, thank you so much!" We talked a little bit about the set and how they need to come back to Jersey more, and I'll always keep the crowd hyped. My boyfriend mentioned the snot rocket, which embarassed her and had the rest of her band laughing. I'm gonna miss that band when they get big, so I'll hold onto these memories.

Last night, in spite of my knee surgery that happened 2 days ago, I went to a secret My Chemical Romance show.

That was amazinggggg, it was the best show ive ever been to. The Knitting Factory is an extremely small space, its in New York City. My Chems energy was so old school, this was so intimate, Gerard was having conversations with us.
There was...I want to say...150 people.
It was supposed to be 300 but, hey, im NOT complaining.

Ill start from the beginning.
